High Pressure Coolant Systems
CNC turning and milling of precision parts with high pressure coolant reduces cutting temperatures, enabling higher surface speed machining, increased tool and coolant life, and improved part quality.
A properly designed high pressure coolant system coupled with appropriate tooling increases surface speeds a minimum of 30% to as much as 300% for certain operations. Additionally, high pressure coolant blasts lubricating fluid between the chip and insert at high speed. This action, combined with much lower cutting temperature, increases lubricity which significantly improves surface finishes.
